EatingDisorderResources.com...v.5/Wiki!

WELCOME BACK!!!

It's been a long time coming. But EDR is FINALLY back online!

I originally made a (very belated) announcement back in May that such an event was in the works. I also said that upon occurrence of said event, EDR would essentially be an 'archive' only. (See the What's New page for the full post.)

It seems, however, that I spoke too soon regarding the latter…!!!

For one thing, I have obviously chosen to bring EDR back in wiki format--hence, once it's up and running, my own work on the site is not-so-much necessary for it to remain a dynamic resource. Also, I must admit, I felt the urge to update things as I went along more than I had anticipated. Not due to any renewal of ED-obsessiveness (yeahy!), but b/c I've been enjoying the whole research gathering-and-organizing process (see PS for more on that *wink*).

For the most part, the updates in *content* are actually minimal--most of my effort has gone into re-organizing (and streamlining) it. Nonetheless, a few new things are currently in-progress, so we shall see…

My main hope is that there will be LOTS of contributors now that EDR is in wiki version. As long as everyone 'plays fair,' I'll kept it open for all to contribute. You will need the admin password (currently: version5) in order to do this. If this policy doesn't work, then access will be made invitation only. I would also humbly request that you have/get a registered account and use it when editing.

I will try to post some info soon to help said contributors along--To-do lists, some formatting guidelines perhaps for the sake of consistency, and etc. Regardless…

EDR v.Wiki is Officially Open! Go forth, my fellow earthings--Peruse, Comment, Update, CREATE!!

More soon,

"EDR"/unquiet/M.

PS--A wee personal update…After a looong academic hiatus, I'm back in grad school! Woah. For, get this, a masters in Library and Information Science! I do hope to use my psych background in my newly embraced career path--I want to eventually work as a "subject specialist" reference/research librarian in an academic (or 'special') library. Hence the semi-renewed appeal for the site from a considerably different perspective...
